Pine Tree to be Removed

The pine tree located to the right of 8 fairway and right of the 2nd green will be removed next week as it is in severe decline and will be dead before the summer.  No tree is needed for replacement as this tree is almost past the 2nd green.

8/15 A Year Apart

With the relocation of the 18th hole and our gradual removal of trees in this area, we are opening up new vistas of the golf course.  Our goal in the future is to be able to see the back holes from the patio of the clubhouse and have almost all the course visible from the clubhouse.

Aquatic Weeds in the Pond

We have some aquatic weeds starting along the shoreline of the 13th and 14th ponds.  This weed can be treated with an herbicide, however we would not be able to irrigate for 5-7 days following the treatment.  Being we are still very dry and watering the golf course or sod or seed almost daily, we cannot make the treatment.  When warm weather comes, the weeds will die back as they did last year but for now we will have to live with it until then.

New Greens Starting to Grow

After 8 days of seeding the green, we are starting to get some good germination.  The front approach area in the foreground will be temporarily seeded to cover the dirt and once we remove the cart path crossing the green come this fall, the approach and new fairway area will be constructed.

New Double Green

The irrigation is now completed and running and the mix has been floated, compacted and seeded for the new 12,000 sq ft green  we constructed by the old abandoned 7th hole.  This new green will serve as an alternate green for the 16th hole and also will create a new par 3 hole to keep in the rotation.  We are hoping to be mowing the green by mid June.

New Water Line For 17th Hole

The new 6" water line is being installed from the pump house to the 17th green.  This will feed the water feature that is by the 17th green and run through the ditches on 12,16 and 17.  This pipe is being run 2500 feet and we are hoping to have it up and running in another 7-10 days.
