Bunker Liners Do Save Labor

The top photo is the new greenside bunker on #10, that has very steep banks.  The bottom picture is the 14th hole bunker that does not have as steep banks but look at the difference of the two bunkers.  The sand was added to the 10th hole in early December and both bunkers have not been touched since.

Tree Removal Needed

This maple tree between the 1st and 9th holes will have to come out this winter.  Notice the large lead we removed last spring that was dead and now with the mushrooms growing out of the base of the trunk, it is an indication that this tree will not make it through this season.  This tree is dying due to root girdling, where the roots wrap around each other, killing the tree.

10 Green Before and After

The green will now receive more sunlight and air movement than before.  Recently, the DOT pruned and or removed trees along Rt 4 power lines and signs which has opened up the green even more and has exposed the sign.  These will fill in with the understory trees that they left.  The new green complex makes the green look more perched up than before, where it looked depressed.

Transformation of the 4th Hole

The top photo shows what the 4th green looked like after we took down all the small trees behind the green and the bottom photo is what the hole looked like this past spring after it was landscaped.
